Jedi Craft Girl rocks!

While I was checking out the other projects on Jedi Craft Girl blog, I came across so many cute ideas, my mind is spinning!  But I thought this project would be a great project for a beginner sewing class.

Boy - has this blog been ignored lately!  I have been so busy 'Artbooking' with my Close to My Heart cartridge that I have not been able to sew!...  but do not worry - a few posts will be happening this week!

My idea is to make some of these for my teacher friends and use up some scrap fabric!  I would have loved one of these when I was teaching!

This little zippered pouch is so stinkin' cute - I should have guessed it was Vanessa Christenson!   Check out this fabulous project on the We All Sew site here!

Then come over to the Bernina store in Temple Terrace and buy enough fabric so you can cut off the selvages to make this!!

Bernina University 2013

Take a look at all of the new products introduced last week at Bernina University 2013 in San Francisco!!  Whoa!!! ....did she say a foot app for our phones? - OMG!!  Holy Moly!   - you will need this app!

Can you say I am excited?!!  The Bernina Designer Software Version 7 will be introduced in the Fall and I can not wait!  Here are a few pictures from "Stitches from the Tub" blog post here in Southern California.

AND lastly you will now be able to switch from metric to inches in the software!  No more charts and changing your computer settings!!

I am not sure I will be able to wait patiently for the new software to come out....I feel like a kid at Christmas!  I am definitely looking forward to the software training as well - yippe skippee!!

WHAT is Washi Tape?

That seems to be the question every time when I show off this fabric!  Here is a dress made with the gray washi tape fabric that we carry at the store...

She also was a guest on a recent SewItAll show featuring her bag made with this same Washi tape fabric!   She featured her "Rock the Tote" bag and the directions can be found here.  I watched it a few weeks ago at the gym - hey you have to pass the time somehow!!
